Global spirits company, Amber Beverage Group (ABG), has appointed Theofilos (Theo) Koronakis as Southern Europe Brand Ambassador for its fast-growing Rooster Rojo Tequila brand. This is a newly created, full-time role and the appointment takes immediate effect. The focus will be on the Southern European priority markets - Greece, Spain, and Italy.
Theo Koronakis, who is based in Athens, Greece, has worked in the hospitality sector for 14 years working with different brands in numerous venues. He has spent time working in the UK as well as in Greece serving drinks at well-known venues that include The Alchemist, Eight Members Club, Switch On and the OhMyGod cocktail bar, of which he is a co-owner.
As a fan of Rooster Rojo Tequilas, which are fast becoming the choice of bartenders the world over, his favourite serves are on the rocks, “savouring the quality of the liquid” or as the base ingredient of a Paloma.
Asked how the collaboration came about, Keith Goulbourne, Regional Commercial Director of Southern Europe at Amber Beverage Group, said: “I knew Theo for years, when he was working for another company, and knew of his professionalism, of the passion for the job he is doing, and his great personality. He is a natural fit for this role, as we were looking for someone to boost the awareness and popularity of the brand in Southern Europe, which is already the biggest market in the world for Rooster Rojo Tequila. Theo will focus on activations and will also actively participate in content creation for the brand. I wish him success and am delighted that he has become part of the Rooster Rojo team.”

Asked about his plans for the brand, Theo said: “Already, I am planning activations for the brand. For instance, every Thursday, Rooster Rojo will partner with the Brown Sugar team and will entertain around 400 people at the Bronco Bar in Athens.”
