Together with the legendary Australian rock band AC/DC, Amber Beverage Group (ABG) is launching Thunderstruck Tequila® to rock the market as the third of ABG’s new premium tequila brands.
“This is the only tequila endorsed by major rock stars, possibly that is the reason why we are feeling such responsibility towards the brand, our partners AC/DC and, of course, the consumers,” the Global Brand Director at Amber Beverage Group, Mantas Zlatkus stated.
“As this is a new product in Europe, that came out only on November 1st, AC/DC fans are only starting to discover it’s exceptional 100% pure agave taste. The Blanco version has intense sweet notes of cooked agave, followed by a spicy white peppery punch. It is silky and delicate, leaving on the palate a sachet of spices,” Zlatkus said. “The Reposado has a full body and intense agave flavor. It is aged in oak barrels for a minimum of 2 months, which gives this tequila its natural color and rich flavor,” he explained.
The new AC/DC Thunderstruck Tequila is available from November 1st in all Gebr. Heinemann Travel Free border shops across Europe (Czech Republic, Croatia, Slovenia) and has been listed at airports including Frankfurt, Munich, Hamburg, Copenhagen, Berlin, Baku, and Bucharest.
Thunderstruck Tequila is the third jewel that Arturo Fuentes, the master distiller of the ABG owned Fabrica de Tequilas Finos has shared with the world in recent years. In 2017 ABG launched its tequila category headliner Rooster Rojo Tequila, a first premium 100% blue agave tequila blended with water that is filtered through real Mexican silver. It was later followed by Cenote Tequila, a super-premium tequila that is crafted at Fabrica de Tequilas Finos using 100% blue agave and is fermented in stainless steel vats before undergoing double pot distillation.
